Elizabeth has acted on a broad range of disputes.  She often works closely with Charles Fussell on the firm’s biggest and most high-profile cases, and in addition runs a number of further cases herself.  She was promoted to of counsel in 2023. 

Most recently, Elizabeth has been heavily involved in working on a suite of complex international cases based on allegations made against an individual arising out of his position as a partner in an international law firm.  Simultaneously, she has also been working on a number of other litigation matters, including a $480 million fraud case and a $270 million competition case against Microsoft. 

Elizabeth has experience in a wide range of commercial litigation and arbitration matters, from unfair prejudice petitions to mining disputes to cross-border contractual disputes.  Her particular forte is dealing with cases arising from a complicated factual matrix, and she particularly enjoys working for individuals who have a highly personal interest in their cases.  Accordingly, she often works for clients on multiple cases, with her clients choosing to re-engage her on different matters over a number of years.

    • Acting on behalf of a US oil and gas based exploration company in a successful Norwich Pharmacal application against the owner and administrator of a commercial website concerned with financial and investment related matters

    • Acting on behalf of an individual in a claim for negligence and breach of contract against his former solicitors

    • Acting for an individual claimant in respect of claims brought for breach of contract, conversion, bailment and breach of trust against an art gallery dealer

    • Acting for an international provider of non-lethal military defence products in a claim for breach of contract

    • Acting against Lloyds TSB Bank Plc in a claim for rectification of an agreement, together with related claims

    • Acting for a partnership in a claim against a former consultant for failing to repay clawbacks due

    • Successfully bringing an application for dismissal of a s8 Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 declaration

    • Acting on behalf of an individual concerning a substantial dispute arising from an aborted private equity venture
