Calan Eskandar is an associate specialising in international arbitration and litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he trained at one of the world’s leading international arbitration practices, where he regularly represented clients in arbitrations under major institutional rules, including SIAC, ICC, LCIA, and UNCITRAL.

His experience includes advising on a range of complex cross-border disputes, from commercial energy claims against the Sri Lankan power authority to representing multinational joint ventures in technical construction disputes with major subcontractors.

Calan completed the Bar Professional Training Course in 2018 and is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. He has appeared before the Malaysian courts and has experience acting for Malaysian government-linked companies in international asset recovery claims and white-collar crime civil proceedings. He also spent a year training with the legal team at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, where he assisted on a variety of cross-border acquisitions.
